I went to my aquarium class today. It was all about horseshoe crabs. I learned that they have blue colored blood. And what’s really cool about it is that it helps fight diseases! I got to make a horseshoe crab and tomorrow I’m going to make him a home. I also got to give my teacher the bookmark I made her. I didn’t get to meet the other nice people that ordered bookmarks from the aquarium but my teacher is going to give them their orders.
I went to my zoo class today. I learned all about canines like the Mexican Gray Wolf that’s on one of my bookmarks. I got to watch the teacher feed the coyotes frozen mice. Yuck! I touched a wolf’s skull and an arctic fox’s fur. I also made a red fox puppet. I named her “Alexandra”. I’m so glad the zoo has such awesome classes! After class I delivered more bookmarks in the dark!
I met a dog named Lady while I was selling bookmarks today. She was very fluffy and big. I also met a cat named Red. He was cute and shy. He snuck out of the house to explore while I was talking to his owner. But he ran back in after a few seconds. I love animals so much. I didn’t want to leave Red. I sold a lot of bookmarks today. Only 85 more to get to my goal.
Today I delivered bookmarks and went to more houses to sell bookmarks. I met some nice people who like animals just like me. A girl showed me her pet rabbit. It was so cute!
257 - The number of bookmarks I’ve sold so far.
306 - The number of dollars I’ve raised for the World Wildlife Fund.
59 - The number of bookmarks I’ve hand delivered or mailed.
11 - The number of stuffed animals on my bed right now.
24 - The number of bookmarks ready to be delivered.
32 - The number of elephants you would need to equal the weight of a blue whale!
More bookmarks are ready to be delivered! My favorite part was putting stickers on the envelopes like stamps. I liked writing the thank you notes too.
